1. A center stone will be allowed for a minimum of four lots. If the stone is to be moved any time in the future, it cannot exceed a width of six feet and a height of four feet. If the stone is larger than this, it cannot be moved at any time.
2. Individual Burial Markers: Only small foot stones may be used if a center stone is to be used. There must be separate foot stones for each person; no multiple person foot stones will be allowed. Foot stones cannot exceed 16 inches in height. There must be a clearance of at least 5 feet 8 inches between the foot stone and the center stone to allow for ease in grass cutting.
3. All width measurements shall be made at ground level. All height measurements shall be made from the ground level to the highest point of the marker.
4. The party originating the center stone must sign an agreement with the Chevra Kadisha:
- Agreeing to all of the above restrictions;
- Obligating the family to pay all costs of moving the stone and rebuilding the foundation if the stone is to be moved in the future, with such costs to be paid for before the stone is moved. Such costs must be paid each time the stone is moved.
- The Chevra Kadisha shall not be obligated to arrange for moving the stone.
- The Chevra Kadisha shall not be liable for any claims if the stone is damaged while it is being removed and replaced.
5. All monuments along the sidewalks are limited to a height of 45 inches. This applies to a single lot and double lot stones.
6. All double lot stones are limited to six feet in width.
7. Center monuments in excess of 6 feet wide and/or 4 feet high must be reviewed and approved by the Board or a designated committee for aesthetic purposes. All decisions of the Board shall be final.
8. No monuments or benches shall be erected without prior permission of the Chevra Kadisha.
